Rising star Lennie Rayen shares a moment of emotional clarity and personal growth on What Now, the newest single from her upcoming album Entertain The Space. And it’s brilliant.
Written as the final song for the project, What Now emerged during a period where Rayen reached a breaking point trying to meet the expectations of people who ultimately didn’t have her best interests at heart. In place of continuing to chase approval, the song reflects the realization that some relationships are built around keeping you small, struggling, or dependent.
I love the song’s instrumentation, which includes smooth drumming and cool guitar work. The vocals sound wonderful, radiating much emotion.
