Singer-songwriter Imo releases her new single, 501s. It speaks about nostalgia and the memories we attach to certain things. Imo was inspired by how, when a relationship ends, it’s often the small things we’d otherwise never notice that remind us of that person. Suddenly, you’re walking down the street and all you can smell is their washing powder.
The production here feels like a mix of early Taylor Swift, The Chicks, and Kacey Musgraves. It sounds bubbly, and that makes it so addictive. I find the chorus particularly brilliant.
I think Imo makes really fun songs. 501s is definitely another bop. Check it out below!
