Kang Joo-hee, better known by the stage name Rothy, is a South Korean singer. She recently released her new single, Don’t Be. It deals with losing yourself when a relationship ends and you have to pretend things are okay, which eventually becomes exhausting.
Driven by rhythmic guitars and pop-rock energy, the track marks a bold new sonic direction for Rothy, being more dynamic and less soft. The vocals here also align well with this direction.
