MERCEE is a singer, songwriter, musician, and artist based in Zurich and Madrid, whose Cuban-Italian roots deeply shape her artistic identity. Her new single, Como una Avalancha, came out recently. In it, she describes how she initially perceived someone as distant, unreachable, or emotionally closed off, but now feels that this person is a safe, warm place where she can truly be at home.
The song’s production falls within the realm of R&B and has a very dreamy quality. I love its melodic lines, as they’re beautifully crafted. The vocals feel unique and charged with deep emotion.
MERCEE has a style that I find very appealing. With Como una Avalancha, she’ll hopefully sweep into the charts like an avalanche. Check it out below!
