willoh kicks off her new album cycle (via Alamo/Santa Ana) on July 17 with her new single MONTRÉAL. Its lyrics depict a state of internal struggle, in which moments of joy, such as the urge to dance, are constantly interrupted by feelings of invisibility and emotional exhaustion.
The song’s production feels powerful, with experimental textures that clash with each other in a very cool way. The vocal style also comes across as brilliant.
