Not many albums manage to feel layered enough on the fifth listen to reveal something new. But Neo Blastic, released by SV and Alyssa Jane on July 24, pulls it off, delivering a finely detailed ten-track journey spanning hip-hop, R&B, and soul.

SV’s production serves as the underlying structure. Across the album, it shifts constantly, from the confident momentum of opener So Fly to the warmer, more introspective territory of On My Mind, and from the deep intensity of Daughter to the assertive energy of One Who Wins and the textured instinctiveness of Clocked and All Nighter. No two tracks occupy exactly the same sonic space, yet the album never feels scattered. There’s a clear emotional intelligence guiding the sequencing, with each track placed precisely where it belongs.

At the center of all of it is Alyssa Jane, whose vocal presence gives Neo Blastic its pulsing character. She moves between soulful notes and sharp rap-inflected phrasing with an easy flow, bringing vulnerability and strength to each song in precisely the balance it requires. Daughter showcases her at her most open. One Who Wins and Feel Like This show the sharper, more expressive side of a voice that clearly has considerable range to draw from.

Together, SV and Alyssa Jane have built something that operates on its own terms, music rooted in emotion rather than formula, designed to be felt as much as analyzed. Neo Blastic doesn’t ask what genre it belongs to. It already knows.
