Montreal singer-songwriter Libby Ember recently released her new single, Shoes. The song talks about being the only one trying to keep a relationship moving forward. Putting on her shoes becomes Libby’s way of expressing her willingness to show up and do the work, even when the other person may not be doing the same.
Shoes has a stripped-back indie-folk sound with no drums, which suits the vulnerable side of the song really well. It also gives Libby’s vocals and lyrics the opportunity to shine.
With Shoes, Libby takes another step in the right direction. It deserves everyone’s attention. Start listening below!
