Libby Ember is a Montreal-based singer-songwriter. She releases her new single, Gravity, which she wrote during a breakup while traveling through Norway. Walking mountains day after day while processing the end of a relationship, the rising star reflected on the heaviness she was carrying and how impossible it felt to escape.
Gravity features wonderful guitar work with a progression that feels both organic and upbeat. The vocals have a pop edge, but they aren’t lacking in intensity. This permits them to fit the backdrop nicely.
“For this song, we took a more pop-like direction,” Libby says. “The song felt like it needed a stronger beat to it more than any of my other songs so far.”
Gravity is very personal and possesses only positive aspects, making it a top tune. Start listening below!
