Steve Maggiora is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Ringo Starr, Joe Bonamassa, Robert Jon & The Wreck, GoldFord, and Jon Button of The Who, and toured as a keyboardist and vocalist with Toto. His 2026 album Echoes of Us (the successor to Unburdened) brings together eleven songs shaped by pop, rock, R&B and retro influences.
From a sonic perspective, Echoes of Us hits the nail on the head. Catchy melodies, powerful vocals, rich harmonies and magical grooves give the album big appeal, with refined production and thoughtful instrumental details adding to the experience. The record shifts instinctively between tonalities, from the upbeat hooks of Our Time and Chain Reaction to the more contemplative feel of Our Purpose.
Echoes of Us features a talented group of musicians, including John Philbrick on guitar, Ryan Smith on drums on tracks 2–4, 6–7 and 9–10, Curtis Kelley on drums on tracks 1, 5, 8 and 11, and Alex Kyhn on bass on tracks 2 and 7–9.
Inspired by the end of a four-year relationship, the record takes a closer look at love and loss without fixating on the negative. It’s refreshing to see the breakup story from another perspective. Maggiora keeps it mainly peaceful and just lets his heart speak.
Echoes of Us explicitly spotlights Maggiora’s talent and the philosophical approach he employs in his music. He 100% knows how to create projects that are purposeful. If you aren’t a fan of his yet, this album will definitely make you one. It’s of top quality. Start listening below!
