Rising talent dollhouse just released the stripped version of don’t crash the car. The song explores the thrill of being drawn to someone who lives recklessly and refuses to hit the brakes. As the lyrics follow a wild drive through town, dollhouse becomes the backseat driver, asking this person to spare the car and take her heart along for the ride instead.
don’t crash the car (stripped) trades a fuller sound for gentle guitars and a more open vocal performance. This simpler approach brings the emotion behind the lyrics into sharper focus.
dollhouse definitely knows how to make a stripped-back song hit. Check it out below!
