Carla J. Easton makes Pop music. First with Myspace-kids Futuristic Retro Champions, then with SAY longlisted TeenCanteen, then under the alias ETTE, before her first solo album Impossible Stuff, her tunes have seen her championed by Marc Riley, play festivals across the UK, and earn a growing number of dedicated fans.

Get Lost is the first single from Carla’s new album WEIRDO, out August 29.

The song sounds so good. I like the electronic beats. Besides, the vocals are outstanding. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the powerful hooks and catchy elements.

Lyrically, the song delivers. Get Lost was written in late September 2019 in anticipation of a weekend away to the untouched seclusion of Sandwood Bay in Sutherland, during a blisteringly hot weekend. A euphoric ode to the desire to escape the pressures and anxieties of adulthood. A fledgling romance and a tale not yet begun.

”It was one of the first songs I co-wrote with Scott in CHVRCHES old basement studio,” says Carla. ”Everything came quickly after conversations about the first time you go away with someone you are beginning a new relationship with.”

The video, filmed and edited by Austin Temby, really captures the essence of the song. Visually it looks cool.

Carla is one of a kind. Her music showcases her creativity. The song has everything to be a huge success.
