Speaking about the track, the artist says: ”The lyrics to Hippie Camp (Freestyle) were inspired by the poetry of Tiger Singleton when we met at a New Years retreat in Sweden. I loved the way Tiger explained pain and suffering as the absence of love, and that everything was already perfect in its own imperfect way. When I got to the studio, I just wanted everyone else to feel as peaceful and as full of love as I did in that moment. I hope this song brings even a slice of that peace to your mind.”
