Chadha Nacer, aka manic pixie, is a 19-year-old Algerian-Muslim singer-songwriter based in Las Vegas. With her second single, beautiful words, she offers stunning indie pop sounds that make it catchy and never predictable. For instance, I really like the guitar melody.
manic pixie said this about the track: ”While reading some of my favorite books, I started a note on my phone titled beautiful words where I could list some of my favorite beautiful quotes. After revisiting it a couple of times to add more, I began to see the little quotes as lyrics I could use. So I wrote a song about escapism using two of my favorite book quotes, which are featured in the song.”
