In her songs, Tess explores the entire spectrum of desire: its pleasure, elusiveness and pain, its success and shortcomings, and its power to create a more truthful connection to ourselves and our experience.
Hot Blood has an ethereal arrangement that becomes more compelling by the second. Next to this, there’s a striking vibrancy throughout, with the vocals acting as a guiding force, narrating the story.
This is the first release in a larger collection of work written and self-produced by Tess, and has been co-produced, recorded and mixed with Toby Lloyd of Tiny Triumph Recordings, Wellington, New Zealand.
