Mae Krell was born and raised in New York City, but she has always felt disconnected from how the media portrays the common experiences of growing up. This year, after attending her girlfriend’s sister’s high school graduation, Mae realized that she missed out on normalcy and wrote this place directly after experiencing it.
this place features guitar melodies that alternate between serene and hypnotic. The rhythms on this track work well with the vocals and give them a platform to shine on. We like how tension is built in the chorus.
