Night Tapes began in London, when Max Doohan, Sam Richards, and Iiris Vesik jammed together in the evening. Their new single, every day is a game, takes a dreamy approach. Its textures are like stars on a cloudy night, searching for spots to shine. The vocals run at their own pace, rather than blindly following the guitar work and bassline, which makes them much more spontaneous.
every day is a game talks about duality and love. It shifts away from the romantic idea of relationships that we’ve been taught in stories and movies, giving different perspectives on both subjects. Iiris (the lead singer of Night Tapes) believes that communicating well and building two strong worlds will make you in sync with each other.
