Aster Rhys takes folk’s classical traits and makes them epic. She validates this in Ocean Deep, her new single. I like how the melody whistles from right to left. You’ll be exposed to instrumentals such as mandolins and flutes. A quirky rhythm is underpinned beneath it. The vocals conjure up the feeling of finding diamonds for the first time.
Ocean Deep sketches a disintegrating relationship that’s like a deep ocean that has no clarities. Even though love lasts forever in actuality, its lyrics cover the movement between closeness and separation like a trip through the wilderness.
