Zanne Hanna is an indie artist, writer, and producer based out of Los Angeles, California. She recently dropped her new single, I Thought, featuring Austin Atlas. Its lyrics were written in an era where Hanna found herself daydreaming frequently. She was literally in a kind of trance, yearning for someone who she ultimately realized wasn’t worth it after all.
I Thought has a nice, constructive production. The instrumental starts out mellow yet builds throughout the track. In the end, things get quite gritty, which makes the song extra exciting. The vocals are airy, and always serve as the best first layer.
Hanna deftly translates personal experiences into relatable songs without losing her authentic style. Based on this release, she seems to be heading in the right creative direction. Check it out below!
