Singer-songwriter Isabel Pless releases her new single, I Don’t Feel Pretty. It talks about the emotional struggle of not feeling attractive or confident, and the internal battle that comes with these perceptions. Pless reflects on her appearance with a degree of detachment, as if her reflection in the mirror doesn’t truly reflect her.
The lyrics also touch on a broader theme of feeling left out, particularly regarding the love and self-acceptance that others seem to possess. Pless acknowledges that her low self-esteem has been a persistent issue.
I Don’t Feel Pretty is mainly driven by the guitar. But there’s also some cool indie pop production to go with it. The vocals are honest and make you ponder the depths of the void. Check out the song below!
