Dutch singer-songwriter Sophie van Hasselt releases her new single, WereWolf. At its heart, it contemplates shedding old skins to reveal our truer, freer selves underneath. Through evocative lyrics and a catchy alt-pop pop soundscape, Sophie encourages you to cast off doubts and fears that have held you back. She sings of stepping into your power and embracing the strength within, regardless of how scary change may seem at first. The song acknowledges that becoming our best selves is an ongoing process, one that requires continuously facing our shadows and choosing to walk in our light.
Werewolf seems like a very personal track for Sophie. I’m definitely going to be playing it on repeat and will be keeping an eye out for her future releases. They’ll probably be on the same level as this one.
