British singer/songwriter Persia Holder recently released her debut single, Baggage. It explores the vulnerability of opening up to someone new about past struggles and difficulties. Lines like like “Tell me I’m savage, overdramatic” and “You know I’ve got baggage, emotional damage” emphasize a plea for acceptance and support.
Baggage has this really cool classical pop sound. The piano keys are gorgeous and they build up the drama as the song goes on, getting all theatrical and intense. And the vocals sound powerful.
