Lily Lane’s latest single, Cry Baby, is an anthem of honesty and vulnerability. She wrote it after she saw her husband cry for the first time on the day of their wedding. With these lyrics, she tries to break stigmas and show that expressing emotions, such as shedding a tear, is human and a sign of strength, not weakness.
Cry Baby has powerful vocals, contrasting beautifully with the delicate instrumentation. I love how the chorus sounds, as its progression and delivery bring much authenticity to the surface. You’ll be bopping along for sure.
