Inspired by the sudden realization of becoming someone who texts twice and overthinks the pause between replies, Lights’ CLINGY is an unapologetic, tongue-in-cheek banger that turns insecurity into empowerment.
”There’s a layer of sexiness to CLINGY,” Lights explains, and she’s not wrong. The track pulses with confidence even as it explores a moment of emotional wobble. The duality she speaks of, between feeling in control and unexpectedly needy, unfolds brilliantly in the production. A half of the song feels like a guitar-forward, spacious banger, while the other half feels like a heavy, intimate dance break.
Lights is on fire in this song. Check out CLINGY below!
