Rising Canadian star Lily like the flower releases Hunger Games, from her debut album Hereditary. Its lyrics are aimed at someone who clearly thinks he has a chance, only to get shut down every time. Lily makes it clear that she knows exactly what she wants, has no interest in his advances, and prefers to keep him at a distance.
Hunger Games has a really cool hyperpop-inspired production involving real instruments. I love the contrast between the wobbly Rhodes, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar, especially because they give the song a feeling of unpredictability.
With Hunger Games, Lily continues to dazzle, showcasing her full creative talent. Check it out below!
