I’ve Had Some Wine is the first single from Emmalee Rainbow’s upcoming EP. Featuring Maxx Morando on drums (Miley Cyrus, Liily), the track brings together the neon-tinged melancholy of U2 and The Cure with the sensitivity of modern nostalgic indie rock. The vocals are dynamic, which means they move fluidly from note to note. As for the chorus, I can say it hits well.
I’ve Had Some Wine depicts the tension between ambition and the monotony of everyday life. Emmalee says: “Vegas, oddly enough, really inspired me for this song. The idea that we only get one life is such a cliché, but I feel like all of us are longing for an experience that doesn’t exist. Vegas represents that perfectly for me.”
