Heartbreak songs are everywhere. Good ones are rarer. Exit Wound is one of the good ones.
The collaboration between Jaime Deraz and Bad Boyfriend takes a familiar subject and finds a fresh angle on it, so not the moment of the breakup, but everything that comes after. The ache that doesn’t have a clear cause anymore.
The pop-garage production gives Exit Wound a sharpness that suits the subject. The piano is the emotional anchor throughout, driving the track forward even when the lyrics are steeped in memories that would rather stand still. As usual, Jaime’s vocals are exceptional.
Exit Wound should be on the top of your playlist. Check it out below!
