Abbey Blackwell is a multi-faceted musician in Seattle, WA. She releases her new single, Rise and Set. It looks at the end of a relationship humorously and our quest to find solace in what remains constant in our lives, which can feel like only gravity at times. The lyrics are not only relatable, but also very meaningful.
Rise and Set feels immersive sonically. The soft acoustic guitar strumming melds into a full band, complete with shimmering lap steel and luscious drum textures, taking you through a cascade of chords.
