Honesty has a way of arriving before you’re ready for it. Lottie Gray kept Worst Punchline to herself for weeks after writing it, just a voice note she’d replay on trains and buses, not quite ready to let anyone else inside it. When she finally brought it to the band, she knew something had shifted.
The song talks about guilt, fear and self-reflection with true directness. Acoustic-led and intimate at its core, it opens up into a full-band performance that delivers in every way.
Worst Punchline is a striking debut single and a cool first glimpse at Gray’s upcoming EP The Big Idea. She headlines Gulliver’s in Manchester on May 5th to celebrate the release. Check out Worst Punchline below!
