Beat a Dead Horse examines the lasting effects of past relationships, the cycles you repeat without noticing, and the necessity of stepping out into something more present and alive.
I love the song’s sound. Its energetic indie rock and pop-inflected arrangements balance vulnerability with momentum perfectly.
The accompanying video, filmed in Spain where Teagan lived between the ages of 13-14, adds another level of depth to the story. Definitely a must watch!
