Cat Rose Smith is a London-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who grew up among the redwoods of Northern California. She releases her new single, Green. The song’s instrumentation brings together an impressive group of collaborators, including guitarist Jake Curran (Niall Horan, Tanner Adell), pedal steel player Brett Resnick (Kacey Musgraves, Zach Top), and Scottish violinist Daniel Stroud, whose strings provide a cinematic lift.
Thematically, Green reflects on falling out of love with an ex-fiancé. It has been written during a period of denial when the ending still hadn’t fully settled in.
Cat Rose Smith makes music from the heart. In Green, she impresses all the way through. One of those tunes you can listen to endlessly. Check it out below!
