Bruising is the opening track of Lila Holler’s self-aware new EP, Born To Bite. The production is the first thing that gets you. It’s bright and punchy, and it really dazzles. But underneath all that shine is a story about feeling a relationship begin to turn, not with a splash but with a bruise. The lyrics are so powerful, addressing real emotions.
Holler’s vocals sound fantastic throughout. They simply know how to express vulnerability while remaining on top of the melody.
