Emma Whale is the next obscure indie artist you bring up to sound cool. Her new single, Stupid, bottles the emotions that come from unrequited love and then shatters it on the floor. The lyrics are beautifully written and convey well what it feels like to be rejected in a perhaps dramatic, but honest way.
I love the song’s production, which gives the theatricality of the narrative good musical body and certainly goes all out during the chorus. Singing along is almost guaranteed, believe me.
Whale has the talent to express her feelings perfectly. Stupid is one of those tunes that gives you strength and makes you feel less alone. Check it out below!
