Up-and-coming Nashville singer/songwriter Winston Liv (they/them) makes music that avoids superficiality. Their new single, Werewolf, features impressive lyrics. They challenge the stereotype of werewolves being scary or ugly, but rather something that represents freedom and becoming your true self.
The arrangement here is wonderful, grounded in playful pop melodies and underlying folk textures. The vocals are quite dreamy, but no less powerful because of it.
