New Zealand indie-rock band PARK RD shares Fatal, a collaboration with Sydney-based vocalist Molly Millington. The track came together remarkably quickly, written during a day off on tour in Australia before the band headed into a Sydney studio with Millington, whom they had never met before.
The lyrics of Fatal focus on the frustration of running into someone you still have feelings for, hoping each time that things might somehow be different. You might play it cool, but seeing that person on the dance floor makes keeping up the act impossible.
Fatal sounds brilliant. I particularly like how catchy the guitar work throughout is. The vocals are wonderful, putting sincerity above all else.
