CHARLOT is one of the most talented contemporary Dutch artists. Evenings Are For Falling In Love Pt. 1, from her new album Evenings Are For Falling In Love, captures a moment of complete presence. As the sunset fades from tangerine orange to navy blue, she finds herself in the queue for a local theatre before watching a performance. The changing sky, the cold air, and the beauty of the evening sharpen her awareness, inspiring her to realize on the way home: perhaps this is what it means to simply be here and fall in love with life.
Evenings Are For Falling In Love Pt. 1 has a brilliant sonic arrangement. I particularly enjoy the synths and guitar work throughout since they’re so striking. The vocals achieve their purpose, which is to heighten the poetic quality of the lyrics as a whole.
With Evenings Are For Falling In Love Pt. 1, CHARLOT delivers something iconic. Check it out below!
