Dutch singer/songwriter CHARLOT translates everyday life events into small musical stories. She recently shared her single, The City. In it, she shares her experience of rushing headfirst into a new love while being busy with the daily grind of life. The lyrics are relatable for sure.
I love the production of The City, which is influenced by both vintage and modern indie styles. Its synths are especially impressive. The vocals alternate easily between different notes, making them sound dynamic.
