Rising talent Adjenai recently released their new single, Everything Bagel. It captures the awkward period of trying to understand yourself before finally realizing there’s no reason to hide who you are. I really like how Adjenai keeps the lyrics lighthearted, even when they touch on insecurity and self-doubt.
Everything Bagel sounds amazing. At first it sounds intimate and singer-songwriter-like, but gradually evolves into soaring pop. The gang vocals give the chorus a big, celebratory sound, making the whole thing feel like one giant sigh of relief.
