Silje Strange’s music is a storm of raw emotion. She recently released her new single, Your Pretty Face is Basic. It explores the fading appeal of someone who’s more interested in wealth and achievement than in nurturing a relationship. What once felt like love gradually loses its intensity when emotional closeness gives way to distance.
Pretty Face is Basic sounds incredible. Its chorus is one of the catchiest I’ve heard in a long time, and the dynamic vocals throughout make the track even more iconic. A special mention must also be given to the guitar solo at the end, which blew me away.
