Chrissie Huntley’s new lockdown anthem, Groundhog Day, is set to take the UK pop scene by storm. It has catchy riffs, soaring synths and strong vocals that will have you mesmerized. I like the chorus, because it encourages singing along. The bridge, however, also catches my attention. Sounds in that particular segment set the tone for what follows.
On the track, Chrissie offers: “Lockdown 1 and 2 I really struggled with. By the time the third came around, I came up with a new strategy to keep myself as busy as possible, so I started writing myself extensive to-do lists for every single day. Whilst this helped structure my days initially, once these lists were done I would find myself lost in boredom and nothingness all over again!”
Chrissie further strengthens the appeal of the song with her relatable lyrics. Check out Groundhog Day below!
