CMAGIC5 (they call her ‘C’) is a Toronto-based singer/songwriter, musician, and recording artist. She releases her new pop/punk single, Happy Never After. It’s about rejecting the idealized, fairy tale version of love and relationships promoted by television and social media, recognizing that romance can sometimes be messy.
Bold melodies propel the song’s production forward. The chorus has an addictive energy that you’ll find yourself bopping along to. The vocals sound sassy, bringing out the right tone for communicating the lyrics successfully.
The music video of Happy Never After is visually strong. CMAGIC5 reimagines Alice, casting herself as the lead character who is thrust into a chaotic, Tim Burton-esque world. You can check it out below!
