Just when you thought the indie-pop dreamscape couldn’t get any dreamier, along come George and Henry Flint (aka The Flints), the Manchester-born twin duo who have been discreetly simmering on the edge of something huge. Hot off the Hyperdrama tour with electro-legends Justice (yes, that Justice), they’re back home, a little dazed, a little jet-lagged, and delivering a slice of magic wrapped in celestial fuzz: their new single, Supernatural Feelings.
And let’s just say, it lives up to its name. The song doesn’t just flirt with long-distance longing, it slow-dances with it across time zones, set to a soundtrack of golden drums, fuzzed-out guitars, and vocals so airy you’ll swear they’re singing through a dreamcatcher.
According to the band, the track have been penned between Manchester and Toronto, fueled by long-distance calls in the middle of the night, and that twitchy sixth sense that someone’s thinking about you, even from thousands of miles away.
