Estella Dawn, the bold pop innovator whose genre-defying sound have gained her acclaim, releases now a striking reimagining of Bon Iver’s beloved classic, Skinny Love. It turns the stripped-down original upside down, replacing its simplicity with an emotionally supercharged atmosphere that heats up.
“This version is definitely more intense than the original,” Estella shares. “I felt like the lyrics needed a little more gas behind them — more pressure, more ache. So I leaned into that and let the tension build.”
And build it does. Moody mechanical textures, layered synths, and a driving piano-guitar pulse contribute to a slow-burning storm of emotion. The vocals remain breathtaking throughout.
