In Your Walls have released their new single Jaded, and the story behind it is almost as interesting as the song itself.
The track was born from two separate demos (Jaded‘ and Second Guessing) that the band eventually realized belonged together. With only a couple of days before heading into the studio, there was no time to rehearse the combined version. They figured it out on the spot, and that spontaneity is all over the finished record.
I love the lyrics of Jaded. They navigate through complicated emotions and the self-awareness that always comes after the fact. Everything sounds very honest to me.
