Singer, songwriter, and producer Malaika hails from Dorset and now resides in London. Her indie pop sound has quickly made a niche for her in the UK. She recently shared Dye My Hair Dark In The Summer, a brilliant first EP. Focus single Simple Like That shines with its honesty. It captures how frustrating it can be when people say one thing and do another.
I love the song’s production, which mixes dynamism with atmospheric elements. The vocals sound amazing, especially during the chorus.
