Canadian artist Melifawn recently released her new single, Ghost in the Mind. The song talks about being unable to let go of someone, even when the relationship has already become a memory. Melifawn wonders who the other person is thinking of, and slowly realizes that they still occupy a space in her mind as well. A strong undercurrent of longing permeates throughout the lyrics, especially when she wishes this person knew what they meant to her. By the end, she opens the door to the possibility of finally being honest with each other and letting those feelings out.
Ghost in the Mind has a dreamy indie-pop production anchored by guitar, drums and synths. It all sounds amazing, making you immersed in the music. The vocals are iconic throughout.
Ghost in the Mind is a stunning display of Melifawn’s talent. Check it out below!
