Scottish singer-songwriter Rosie H Sullivan recently released her new single, Mollie. The song is about the type of platonic love that grows stronger as two people go through life together. Rosie wrote the song for a close friend she says she can’t imagine being separated from. I really like how she focuses on friendship with vulnerability usually reserved for romantic relationships.
Mollie has a dark, melancholic sound, formed around beautiful organic instrumentation. The arrangement gradually grows alongside the emotions in the song, reaching its biggest moment during the outro, where everything opens up into something much more cinematic.
With Mollie, Rosie delivers something phenomenal. Check it out below!
