Singer-songwriter Ellie Knight recently debuted Better Things, which is her favorite song so far. It takes a little inspiration from the pop songs that were popular in the 2000s. Signature vocals clearly communicate the lyrics, keeping everything moving, and adding layers of power to the song. Despite liking each section, the chorus is my favorite because of its structure.
Ellie explains the meaning behind the song as follows: ”The lyrics are also the truest lyrics I have ever written, normally life events are embellished or partly imagined in my lyrical process but this time, the words flowed straight from my breaking heart as it healed. I adore this song and have spent this entire summer creating and perfecting it.”
Ellie goes in a totally different creative direction with Better Things. Music like this is truly legendary to me. Check out the audio below!
