Recently, Nashville-based artist Eva Cassel released her self-produced single, Martyr. It explores the process of grieving, the search for answers, and the temptation to believe things could have turned out differently. The lyrics, which Cassel co-wrote with her father, are so thoughtful and make an immediate impact.
I find the production here to be exceptional, merging lush harmonies, rich percussion, and dreamy textures into a cinematic backdrop. The main vocal also works well because of its warm tones.
Cassel is always creatively sharp. Martyr excels on all levels. Check it out below!
