Lights Down is an introspective account of Ari Tahan’s journey to empowerment and self-love. After falling for the “right” person, she finds herself more comfortable in her own skin than ever before. Tahan discusses how the relationship has empowered her to be her true self, shedding the masks and worries that have long plagued her.
The song reminds us that it’s okay to be uncertain of your identity – everyone goes through that process at some point in their lives. However, it also illustrates the fact that these feelings can be overcome.
The production on the track is really cool – it’s modern and fresh while still maintaining that classic Pop/R&B vibe. We especially love the layered vocals and the incorporation of guitar leads.
